LIAF's opening movie (edited version)

"Laputa International Animation Festival" has been held since 2000 as the first domestic animation festival in Japan and we've invited Mr.Yury Norshtein as the chief of juries for the Competition, "Yury Norshtein's Award". Also we hold a screening of various animation, classic and latest works from all over the world, and also take place workshops and events.
This year, 2008, our competition will be held as the International Competition in order to introduce excellent animation films world-widely and to encourage young talented animators.

And also, last April we founded "Laputa Animation School" in order to make enough opportunity for amatures to create animation film by the support of professionals.

We hope your participation to "Laputa International Animation Festival" in Tokyo, Japan.
